the pomace and the pitfalls. There are also numerous links.

In Bendigo we are working with a number of people to develop the pomace as a
food extender as well as an organic fertiliser. Numerous other efforts are
going on around Oz. The AOA site www.australianolives.com.au/ also has
numerous items regarding same.

A cautionary note was posted recently about using too much raw pomace as
fertiliser as it tends to raise the ph too much.

Finally, worms seem to love the stuff. We did a successful trial last year.
Geoff Ritter at http://www.tandaragrove.com.au found that sheep seemed to
like the raw product. He may have more information.
