<pre>Brian,
We have spoken to the local processor at Mt Compass here in SA, who has told
us that we would do well to plant table olives as he cannot get enough and
does not know of enough being planted to make up his deficit. He has
assured us, knowing that we will not be supplying for some years, that he
will take all that we can grow. A few others in the industry in SA have
also told us we are going the right way, so we hope they are correct as we
do not really want to put our money into the wrong type of olives. Everyone
seems to be going to oil. Are we wrong and should we be changing our minds
before it is too late? I might talk to Susan Sweeney at Primary Industries
again as we can still change if need be.
Thanks for your concern.
