Olive Lace bug

<pre>Jos,
We have suffered with olive lace bug for the last three years and have
used Lebaycid after trying white oil and soapy water to no avail. Lebaycid is
pretty nasty stuff and unfortunately is non specific so wipes out all insect
species that it comes in contact with. We let our trees go initially hoping that
the pest would go but we ended up with defoliated trees some of which died so
resorted to the lebaycid. There is a product put out also by Bayer called
Confidor which is less damaging to the enviroment and other insect species so we
are going to try that when we run out of the Lebaycid. It is quite expensive but
apparently much more enviromentally friendly!!!!!!!!
