regarding bugs and olive oil - olive oil is used as an antibiotic to
coat foodstuffs. For example work done in Greece with fresh fish has
shown the shelf life in the refrigerator increases. Fish is known to be
a food that goes off quickly.

Anything is possible but if it was a significant problem it would have
shown up sooner???
