I am arranging, on behalf of Slow Food and our local association, an
organoleptic day in Feb. Not on the east coast mid, but inland Bendigo.
Still, it's closer than WA. Out of this day I would trust that a panel of
interested people may become involved in a tasting panel in out area. To
this end I have been having talks with a tertiary institution to see if we
can set up a course that will permit graduate members to become fully
accredited. Tis early stages in these talks but they show great promise and
the enthusiasm or the organisation is boundless.

If I were you I would be speaking to both Slow Food people in your area and
your local institutions. Some detail is available on my home page under
Slow Food as well as the international link (based where else but Italy).
