<pre>hello ,

thanks for the agrolive site.
I have a look at it and found a reference to Mr Ruben Braha and Mr S.
Lavee
"Ruben Braha, Agrolive's Italy based director, represents Agrolive's
interests and activities outside of Australia. The Braha Group is one
of the leading Italian olive oil producers and marketers ".
I searched the Kompass in Italy and found no reference to such group.
But I found there 171 companies in the edible olive oil category like
:CARAPELLI FIRENZE,
TAVARNELLE VAL DI PESA,
FRANCESCANO NATURA
AZIENDA AGRARIA ANTINORI,
FATTORIE UMBRE, CALVI DELL'UMBRIA
ALIMENTA I.P.,
CARLI FRATELLI
OLEARIA F.LLI DE CECCO,
I do know that Kompass is not exhaustive but the listing is free and
there is no reason for a leading company not to be listed.
Concerning the Barnea cultivar , the bibliography is also interesting :

LAVEE S., HASKAL A., WODNER M. , 1984
"BARNEA" A NEW OLIVE CULTIVAR FROM FIRST BREEDING GENERATION. X
ANIVERSARIO RED COOP. EUROPEA DE INVESTIGACION EN OLEICULTURA.
DEPARTAMENTO DE OLIVICULTURE Y ELAIOTECNIA. CORDOBA, 6-9 NOVIEMBRE.
1-6.
about the barnea cultivar :
Purpose : Dual purpose ( oil and table )
Fertility : Part.self fertile
Productivity : Constant good
Oil content : Medium
Rooting ability : High

Do you have more information ?
regards
Souhair
