The Syrian-European Business Centre SEBC in co-operation with the
Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce is planning to hold "Olive Oil
-Syria 2002", in May 2002 in Aleppo, SYRIA.
The Syrian European Business Centre (SEBC) is a project funded by the
European Commission, with the aim of increasing the competitiveness of
the business sector and its support institutions in Syria in the light
of the progressive transition towards a market economy and facilitating
a successful entry of Syria into the Euro-Mediterranean Free Trade Area
(FTA) by the year 2010.
"Olive Oil - Syria 2002" is a special event based on business meetings
for the Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SME's) between Syrian
companies and International visitors interested in establishing
collaboration ties in the Olive Oil Sector of industry.
Representatives of companies from all over the world are invited to
attend a three-day event designed to bring them together with potential
partners from the host region. The event will include also a tasting
contest, seminars on the importance of olive oil and fields' visits to
the main Syrian olive oil orchards.
