<pre>many thanks for prompt reply i'll have a look for these model/s o'seas. It
pays to speak to those that have used the gear. I appreciate the "by and
large' - it adds a nice cautionary note. I might contact you later on to
see what way you decide to go.

Re Oliomio 100. I have had one for two years and, by and large, it has
served it's purpose well. The oil I extracted this year (from Verdale and
Mission) came in at 0.3% acidity and about 15% oil volume by weight.

For 1260 trees, assuming 35kg/tree at maturity, the machine and you will be
sorely tested. Pressing 44 tonnes of olives at a nominal rate of 85kg/hr
will take >500 hours. Couple that with the other pressing you may do then I
think you will be pulling your hair out.

The ommph and sizzle of the traditional press will leave you even more
tired albeit it will look the part. Mind you, you could always employ
those extra virgins to assist but this may wear you out even more.

Pieralisi will be releasing, for next year, a model that has a capability
of 200kg/hr which can be upgraded as the industry develops. Alternatively,
their current model capable of 400 kg/hr would also suffice. Cost of the
former are unknown as yet but will be around $A90K. The 400 is around
$A180K. For this you get all the trapping including the very best of
washers, centrifuge, decanters and kneaders.

If anyone wants to buy a (slightly used) Olioio 100 with washer at well
below current prices please contact me.

Regards
