<pre>Rajesh,

I have seen academic research papers from India, One such was by a
couple of Italian researchers as part of the "Indo-Italian Project for
the Development of Temperate Climate Fruit Crops" in Uttar Pradesh
(Dehra Dun). That paper cites as reference a paper by RP Singh, TR
Chadra & JM Singh (1984, "Performance of some Olive (Olea Europaea L.)
cultivars" Proceedings, Symposium on Temperate Fruits, Solan).

I have also seen references to the Department of Pomology, University of
Horticulture and Forrestry, Nauni, Solan (H.P.) 173 230 India, and to an
orchard at that location and another at the Indo-Italian olive
Development Station, Bajaura, Kullu. This paper is by Dr YS Parmar, RP
Singh, V Tandon, N Sharma & JM Singh.

I'd suggest that you look at accessing the people at Dehra Dun and also
the University at Solan, and go from there.

Good luck with the research, and please let us all know how things turn
out for you.

Cheers
