<pre>I have a frind whom states she prefers to use olive oil as a skin
moisturiser. She actually does not purchase lotion, she fels olive
oil works best for her skin, keeps is soft & supple and moist.

Is there is validity to this allegation?

Before you respond let me state that the reason I am asking is
because, while visiing her, I too used olive oil as oppossed to
lotion. It felt good to the skin, I did notice my skin was soft and
moist much longer than when I use lotion.

I would like to know, has anyone else heard of this notion, has
anyone else tried it and is there any scientific evidence t0 either
support or disprove her(our) beleif.

Any response or input would be greatly appreicated.
