Many people claim that olive oil is very good for the skin. My wife is one
of
them and it seems to work well for her. Extra virgin olive oil does have all
those
anti-oxidants and other good things in it. They heal from the inside out, so
why not
from the outside in? The skin is porous after all. Most skin products, on the
other
hand, are full of alcohols and various other chemicals. It's hard to imagine
that
they can actually be good for you.
Just make sure you use the extra virgin oil because the various heat and
chemical
processes used to make plain olive oil removes most of the good stuff from it.
(I
bet that even the best EVO is still cheaper than commercial skin products.)
