<pre>We had a severe rabbit problem, and in fact still do, and we painted the
trunks when the trees were small with a rabbit repellant which was white and
worked well but unfortunately it has now been discontinued. In some parts of
Greece trees are painted with a lime mixture up to about 900mm but I cannot
recall what problem they were attempting to rectify.
