While I don't recommend raw or straight olive oil as a face wash, I do recommend the following uses:

1. One can safely take off eye makeup/face makeup with olive oil.
2. Olive oil soaps are fabulous for washing the face and body.
3. Olive oil can be used instead of shaving cream for a very close shave.
4. It's also a great moisturizer.

I've researched many other beauty and health uses and of course, I recommend extra virgin for anything in and on the body.
