Hello all, my name is Dan Pattingale. I live on Kangaroo Island in South Australia and started planting olives on my property in 1993, a bit before the rush. I've been making oil since 1995, using the feral olives growing on the Island until my own trees started bearing. I have about 2500 trees which receive a supplimentary irrigation when I have water available. Four years ago I started changing two of my varieties by grafting on a selection from the feral olives growing on the Island, and will have changed over 1500 trees by the end of this year. I have had a TEM Oliomio 150 for the last 4 years and grow, crush, pack and distribute from my property. That's about it in a nutshell. I'm looking forward to future dicussion and may be able to add the occasional usefull gem.
