New book "Manuale di olivicoltura"
<table border=0 cellpadding=2 cellspacing="0"><tr><td>
<pre>I want to point out the new book "Manuale di olivicoltura", realized by Giovanni Bandino (an researcher in oliviculture) and Sandro Dettori (a professor of Arboriculture in the Faculty of Agricultural Science, University of Sassari) with the contribution of some other major Italian experts in oliviculture, published by "Regione Sardegna" and "Consorzio Interprovinciale per la frutticoltura" of Cagliari. The book is a very complete treaty about Mediterranean oliviculture; it contains informations on cultivars, olive propagation, tree planting, climate, agronomical management, deseases, harvesting, olive oil quality, italian and european laws on olive and oil etc. It has been recently presented in Sassari and Cagliari, the two main cities in Sardinia. Who is interested might get it by contacting the Consorzio Interprovinciale per la frutticoltura of Cagliari: (http://www.regione.sardegna.it/frutticoltura/index.html and http://www.ailun.it/confrut/) Best wishes Paolo M.
