<pre>Hi all, As you may or may not be aware, there is a very heated debate raging in high levels of the Australian and International olive oil circles in which it has been stated that some Italian interests appear to be trying to dictate terms for the future of Australian olive industry (As to whether this is true or not I cannot say, but it does make for an interesting read..... ![]() It all began when Mr Mauro Martelossi sent out a screed in which he criticised the Australian efforts at "Codex Alimentarius" in regards a specific chemical indice(linolenic acid) and there has now developed quite a heated argument between an Italian commercial interest, the AOA with NSW Ag. now joining the fray......!
