Outlook will automatically open the Badtrans attachment when you read the
email. You will probably see MS media player open up and announce that it
can't open this type of file.
I upgraded to Norton Antivirus 2000 the first day that one of these messages
came in, and it effectively scans your Outlook email before the attachment
has a chance to open. On average I am still receiving two infected emails a
day, mainly from olive growers. It is worth updating your antivirus
software!

Anti Virus 2001, and I will be buying it in a month. It does a great job.

There is also a small "BadTrans" remover well worth downloading.

My Anti Virus did not detect any virus in your email, but for my reply I

<pre>Yet another reason to use a non-Microsoft product (like Netscape).
There are not as many security holes, and there are not as many people
trying to break the system as for Microsoft stuff. None of the viruses
that send multiple messages to the "contents" of the outlook address
book will work on Netscape.
