The Solar Eclipse
<table border=0 cellpadding=2 cellspacing="0"><tr><td>
<pre>Hi folks, I'm sitting here in Ankara, Turkey watching the sun slowly fade - it's awesome! In a few minutes, we'll be in total darkness because, as NASA had predicted, Turkey is the best location to view this legendary occurance. Thousands of foreign tourists have shown up here. NASA has set up a live broadcast of this on the Black Sea and you can see it on the I-Net at http://www.eclipse99.nasa.gov The Turkish Tourism Ministry has invited the Vienna Symphony Orchestra to Turkey and they'll be performing Gustav Holst's suite, "The Planets," in Amasya, Turkey - about a two hour drive from here. It's something else, and I'm happy to be here to view it. Best wishes to all - I gotta run 'cause it's getting dark ... :-) Keep smiling, Butch </pre> </td></tr></table> |
