Long posts etc
All,
I have had occasion in recent times to delete huge slabs of quoted messages, in some cases going back three or four posts. This is a problem for those of us with limited bandwidth. Please, if you quote a message, delete the bits that are not relevant to your reply. By all means, quote stuff that you are commenting on, but get rid of all the rest. Also, please try to add something to the debate, a message that says just "I agree" does noting for the furtherance of healthy debate and (again) uses bandwidth. OK, I got that off my chest! I'm happy to say that there have been some really (i mean REALLY!) thoughtful and helpful posts recently. Keep it up, and remember, we are here to help. If you've got a question, ask!!! re: Long posts etc
John
I too am on a slow feed (dont buy Telstra!) so I just save OliveOil@egroups.com. in the address book and use that link.. I dont use the 'respond' option as its too long and the rigmarole that yahoo sometimes goes thru is too tedious. Like my fathers middle name; I can never remember the one that I invented.
