Introducing myself
Hello all
I'm relatively new in this forum, previously i participate in the yahoo olive oil group. I'm Portuguese, currently living in Cascais (Portugal) and an Agronomer. I've always had a great passion for the olive tree and olive oil, this interest drove me specialize in this area. I attended the IOOC Master in Spoleto (Umbria/Italy), where i lived for two years and studied all the aspects of olive growing and olive tree technology. Since i've finished the master i've been unable to find work in my area of expertise. I really wish to work in olive growing/olive oil technology. I'm truly passionate about this subject and I believe I have a very good level of expertise in this area. So if any of you are looking for an agronomer or know of anyone how is please contact me, i will gladly move anywhere to work. If you want to look at my CV in can download it here: http://tinyurl.com/nexxh Thank you, Cheers, Joćo Correia P.S. - Please checkout the article i've written on wikipedia on olive oil extraction: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olive_oil_extraction

I used to be part of the "ancient" olive oil group - since the new format, I am a bit lost....
I am Christa Huber from Uruguay - my friends and I planted about 4000 trees a couple of years ago, mainly barnea, arbequina , picual, manzanilla and frantoio. Plants are growing fine so far - let me tell you, there is practically no experience in our country with olive oil, we are mostly recent planters and cannot rely much on uruguayan experience. thus, the forum has been of great help to me, I hope I get the knack soon with this one. looking forward to hear from you again, the ones that were, and the new ones! |

Welcome back, Christa!
This is a lot easier to navigate than the old one, especially with the grouping of posts into forums. How did you get on with the rabbit problems you were having? I hope they have been solved (or at least minimised) by now. Cheers John Attwood
