A little story
I feel I must really share this little story with the others on these ether
waves. Yesterday I travelled, quite unannounced, 150kms to Melbourne Australia. A city of around 3 million people. I went to a small store to enquire of vacuum bottling machines. The firm is known by the name of WineQuip. There I met Adrian (a thoroughly helpful soul) and delivered - as has been my wont for the past three years - a sample of my semi-dried olives, tomatoes and evoo. Gratis because they were so helpful that many years ago. The machines were decided upon and, quite by chance, Adrian recalled that he had just received and email from Italy from friends who wanted a translation of what a bloody Lorikeet was (new pest). It was from one P Caird in Oz, whizzed across the world to whoever received it, sent back to Melbourne for a translation and then I walk in the shop and help clarify said translation. It's a small world! Regards Last edited by johnat : May 1st, 2006 at 07:25 AM. |
