Reminder - Olive Oil Field Study
<table border=0 cellpadding=2 cellspacing="0"><tr><td>
<pre>We would like to remind you of this upcoming event. Olive Oil Field Study Date: Saturday, June 19, 1999 Time: All Day Tuscany, Italy June 19-26, 1999 www.COOC.com member John Garner, who has lived in Tuscany for several years has organized an Olive Oil Field Study Group to Tuscany this summer (June 19-26). John has an extensive background in viticulture and olive oil production and he is pleased to have Dottore Piero Toti as Education Director for the study tour. Dottore Toti is a Tuscan olive oil producer with degrees in both viticulture and enology from Turin University as well as olive cultivation and olive oil production from Ancona University. His olive oil mill has old mill stones dating back to 1684 and the olive oil is produced using traditional methods. The mill was rebuilt in 1997. The Dottore is an active member of the AICOO ~ the Italian equivalent of the COOC and he plans to have experienced tasters from the association present oils and participate in the discussions. The program will include guided tours, discussions of "olivocultura" in Italy, tasting sessions, olive oil production techniques, field trips to mills, olive orchards and wineries, a visit to machinery manufacturer Pieralisi, marketing and shipping of olive oil presentation and cookery demonstrations. This will be a unique opportunity to experience Tuscany in the capable hands of local experts. You may contact Lori Martin or Dick Mercer at EXPERIENCE ITALY for further information or bookings at 888-397-4825. The number of participants will be limited. Please note that the study tours will be held three times per year; early summer, autumn and early spring. Arrangements may be easily made should you wish to extend your trip before or after the event. </pre> </td></tr></table> |
