Syrian Lampante Oil
<table border=0 cellpadding=2 cellspacing="0"><tr><td>
<pre>Dear Stan: In Syria we rarely have any Lampante olive oil, we schedule the farmers to bring in the olives on certain dates to insure the freshness of the olive when pressed, this way we end up with more E. V. oil. We do not have Olive oil refineries, when we extract the oil we leave the olive meal (Pomace/residue) out in an open area to be collected later by a company the extracts the balance of oil left in it (about 2.5% oil), it is extracted using a petroleum by product, thus it is not edible. We use this oil in manufacturing olive oil soap. We had a record crop, about 900,000 ton of olives, we'll end up with about 70,000 ton of Virgin and E. V. olive oil for export. The time is very opportune for any investor to establish joint venture with a local Syrian company to produce and export Olive oil. Large companies do not exist at this time, and Syria is number 6 in production, world wide.
