Old Croation olive tree
<table border=0 cellpadding=2 cellspacing="0"><tr><td>
<pre>I have just found a message I downloaded last August from Zdenko Sule in which he reported the demise of a 1500 year old tree in Croatia [designated a national nature treasure] which sounded as though it was 'on it's last legs'. Does anyone know the fate of this supposed oldest living olive tree in the Mediterranean? Are there other claims for older olive tree still living and is the basis for these claims based on historical records or from core samples taken from the trees? Alan Watt, Tanja Olives [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] </pre> </td></tr></table> |
