RE: yields

<table border=0 cellpadding=2 cellspacing="0"><tr><td>
<pre>Olive oil yields are summarized in the new cost of production manual put out
by U.C. Davis. I don't think there's any good data for your part of the
country. They estimate yields of .5 tons/acre in year 4; 1 ton/acre year 5
and 2.5 tons per acre years 7 and up with Mission trees planted 12 x 20, 180
trees/acre and up to 19% oil yield. Download this document at:

Yields

<table border=0 cellpadding=2 cellspacing="0"><tr><td>
<pre>It would be interesting to know some of the parameters behind the fruit
that yielded such low %. I am not qualified to research this. But some
of you are. For example what were the watering regimes for those trees
tha yielded so low.
What is the age of the trees
What was the rainfall during the final growth stage. Some have said that
there was unusual high rain. Where the yields were high did they not
have high rainfall.
Hope these questions and others might lead to something more than
speculation
