Olive Oil Yield 2006 season
How is your olive oil yield this year compared to last year?
Here yield refers to percentage of olive oil produced (in kg/lb) relative to the weight of the olive used. for example if you press 1000kgs of olive and you got 250kg of olive oil, your yield is 25% You can comment here and add more information about the variety of olive you have, olive extraction machine type used, early or late season results, etc.

Olive to Oil Ratio
Hello
I was away for a long time and miss talking with you all. The subject is Olive to oil ratios I produce a single verital extra virgin olive oil with a selve life of over 8 years. My olive to oil ratio is 1 kilo of oil from 3 kilos of olives, which translates to 33.33 percent olive oil. 2000 I had a ratio of 1 kilo of oil from 2.25 kilos of olives,==40 percent oil. My olive oil has a reputation of blowing the cork of the bottle if slightly over filled. If you would like to contact me, please go to: vordonia@comcast.net I hope I have been helpfull..better late then never. Sincerely Michael |
