<pre>Hi all - esp. Craig........... Thanks for the previous posting/info. on valorization products. It's worth mentioning that the 1st ref. seems (as I read it) to relate to the 'ecological' process prevalent in Spain and to a lesser extent Italy - but not as widespread in Greece/Tunisia/Portugal/Turkey etc. In the case of the traditional and 3-phase process, there is separation of the mill wastewater and the solid residues. The solid is not such a big problem - burning/composting etc. The wastewater IS a big problem! I posted some analytical data for Tunisian mill effluents a while back, on the back of a project we were running there looking at treatment options. I'm still awaiting a decision from the E.U. <yawn> about a bid to hold 3 workshop sessions for participants from 10 Med. basin countries to discuss activity in this area in order to discuss best-practice and prevent duplication of effort. I'll let (all of) you know when /if this goes ahead.
