I think this sounds like a fun and wonderful idea. We just might plan on coming
down next year. Will tell others here about your Festival.

<pre>Hi Mike,

We are close to Bega on the coast at Tanja. Mimosa National Park from
Bermagui to Merimbula is another reference point and if travelling by air
flights from Sydney and Melbourne to Merimbula are on a daily basis.

If it's successful we would like to make it an annual event centred around
Olives, fine food, good wine and good music.

Look forward to seeing you and your friends there.

Margaret Chidgey, editor of the 'Olive Press' (free to AOA members), has
kindly agreed to list the event in that publication. Dates and timing will
depend on next year's olive harvest and that will probably be around
April/early May. Some Hunter Valley Riesling would be perfect with certain
Med dishes don't you think?

Perhaps if we can entice some of our International olive friends along they
might be interested in a side trip to the Hunter Valley for wine and olives.
Will the Hunter Valley Olive Growers have their large press in operation by
then?

Regards

Phil

A definate maybe! The Hunter Olive Co-operative AGM is in a couple of weeks,
so I'm sure we'll all know more after that. I'll keep you posted.

Regards,

Mike.

<pre>Edward,

We are about 6 hours from Sydney, 8 hours from Melbourne and 3 hours from
Canberra. Our saving grace however is that we are on the coast and only a
few kilometres from the Princes Highway. Princes Highway is the north/south
link between Sydney and Melbourne. Last year our nearest rural centre Bega
attracted 220,000 travellers on their way either northwards or travelling
south.

Our products will be available as mail order on a web site - when we have
enough oil to sell commercially.

Regards

Phil

<pre>Edward,

Look at a map of Australia - New South Wales preferably - locate two coastal
towns travelling south (Bermagui and Merimbula) and Tanja is somewhere in
the middle. We don't even qualify as a village so your map may not show our
location. If you want to be precise I can give you Long. And Lat.

Regards,

Phil
