my name is Thomas Garanin and I'm writing to you from Ingolstadt, which is
located in the south of Germany. I've been following the conversation in the
olive mailing list for quite a while, which yet has not succseded to reduce
my interest and spirits for olive oil and olive trees. Nevertheless my
interest is quite abstract and romantic and without any practical
experience: That's why I would like to get some of this practical being
around with olives experience and help out for a week in an olive grove
around mid november, best during the harvest. My preferred country for doing
so would be Italy.

Apart from a two weeks experience in the wine harvesting in France several
years ago and the willingness to work hard, I propably bring no additional
value for an olive grove with me: I'm thirty years old and have been working
as a studied economist for the petroleum multinational Exxon in several
different occupations and locations in Europe. Besides german and english I
can speak some basic french.

If you could give me any hint whom to ask for such an internship, I would be
very grateful.
