first buds appearing

<pre>hiho fellow oliviers
I am not sure what is happening but with about another weeks pruning needed we
are fighting the first of the buds ( and masses of them) on our Koronekei trees
and the first signs of the Leccino buds.

I was 3/4 hour drive further North this morning and they have their Koros
flowering already.

The thing that also confuses me is that the bulk of the new buds are mainly on
the South side of the trees rather than the North (sunny) side????? Very
confusing - I would have expected to see the buds on the sunny North side of the
trees.

And so another season begins.
kind regards
John Bishop
