Assisted pollination

Last year I introduced, via our local apiarist, multiple hives of bees (5
swarms) to the 400x20 year grove to assist in the process of pollination.
Although I cannot measure the success/efficacy of this action I can
certainly attest to the fact that they were certainly as busy as bees!

There was no discernable difference in the taste of honey derived but it
could be a good marketing ploy ~ Peace Honey?

Regards

Dear antonio and others.

Flowers are wind pollinated and to a lesser extent insect pollinated. Once
flowers are fertilised fruit development occurs.
