FS 17

<pre>Hi, I've just joined this group, so please forgive me if this topic has already been discussed. I'd like to get some information (preferably unbiased...) about an Italian cultivar known as FS 17. It is currently in quarantine in NZ, and the importers are promoting it as a dwarf variety, suitable for machine harvesting using a grape harvester. What I'd like to know is: - what is the oil quality like? - what are typical fruit yields? - Does it ripen early or late in the season? - how widespread is this cultivar in Italy and elsewhere in the world? - what type of climate is it suitable for? Specifically, is it frost tender? - anything else you can think of! </pre> </td></tr></table> |

<pre>Hello out there, We are new users and noticed in scanning the past files that there were some queries on FS 17. My wife and I saw 2 year old trees in Perugia bearing around 15kg per tree.!!!!! We are looking at trialling some in NSW but would like some further advice if anyone has had any experience with this cultivar.
