Dear All

I am happy to report that at last the International Olive Oil Council IOOC decided to put their information on the web, and in English.
http://www.internationaloliveoil.org/ Not sure when they started this new website, but I just discovered it and I'm happy to report it to you.

They have some good information about the organization's activities and world statistics on olive and olive oil. I hope they would improve the navigation
menu and their website layout. I felt it was a bit difficult to navigate around. Nonetheless, a good step in the right direction for a renowned organization

Re: IOOC

Yep, I found it!! BUT ... They insist that I view it in IE4 or
greater! Why, I wonder, is that? I happen to prefer to use Netscape
(currently using version 6!) but their page just refused to load.

Once I got IE to work (had to search for it, because I use it so
infrequently) and loaded the site, I wanted to get prices etc for the
World Olive Encyclopaedia. Oh, Dear!!! There are no distributors in
Australia, and none of the distributors listed with proces distribute
the English version.

I agree, it is a step in the right direction. Especially as compared
with the site that was (still is??) at the UN. BUT (and it's a mighty
big but) there is a ways to go yet!!! Netscape support would be high
on my list (but I'm biassed!)

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. If we make enough noise,
the IOOC might take notice!

Cheers
