New player in town!
<table border=0 cellpadding=2 cellspacing="0"><tr><td>
<pre>Hello Friends: I just came back from Spain. I fell in love with the Olive Oil so much, that I desire to change my career and sell it in the USA. I signed a contract with a small cooperative of producer in Jaen. I need all the help I can get in order to make a good marketing research, marketing plan and to contact potential distributors in the USA. My idea is to sell it to well established distributors that are focus on selling to gourmet stores. Would you help me in the introduction? Thanks for reading my message. Re: New player in town!
<table border=0 cellpadding=2 cellspacing="0"><tr><td>
<pre>I have been asked many times - 100s - how many trees do I need to get into the olive industry. My answer - None - this has been proven by the new player in town. Marketing is the most important part of the olive industry - that is why Italy sells more oil than it produces - good luck to them - take a lesson. Marketing involves - quality, quantity and good salesmanship. All oil should be sold in the same season - olive oil left over - not a good sign! Three months before the new season - have a fire sale - sell your oil - so you get money back to help with the new season. If you are in Australia or elswhere - I am planning an other olive tasters school in Perth - probably March 2002. Also I am making plans to hold Table Olive Workshops in Australia- Perth, Hunter Valley and the Mornington Peninsula - sometime in March/April. If you would like me to run a table olive workshop in your district - please contact me as soon as possible. I also wish to purchase Australian table olives - 3 bottles eg 500g of specific varieties processed by the Spanish Style Method (caustic), Kalamata Olives, Greek Style Black (salt) and Green Olives in salt. They can be marinated. Email me to let me know what you can supply. I will pay all costs.
