The search for Australia's Top Twenty New Season Extra Virgin
Olive Oils has begun.

`The Australian New Season Extra Virgin Olive Oil Top Twenty'
will be selected by culinary and taste experts in Sydney and
Melbourne and launched at gala dinners in September.

A Sydney judging panel will select the Best in Sydney, a Melbourne
panel the Best in Melbourne and the extra virgin olive oil with the
highest aggregate score from both panels will be awarded `Best in
Australia'.

The New Season Extra Virgin Olive Oil selection has come at a time
when the new waves of locally produced olive oils are coming into the
market, trying to establish brand recognition and vying for a share
of the well established retail market, currently supplied through
imports.
