origin olives
<table border=0 cellpadding=2 cellspacing="0"><tr><td>
<pre>Did anyone see the article re Origin Olives in the Sydney Morning Herald june 29 p 55? Briefly Origin Olives (OO) started about 1 year ago and market under the name Gwydir Grove which they bought. GG has just won a distinction at the 4th international award of olive oil, the Gold Orciolo in Italy and has won 8 other awards in the past 2 years in aust. Much of the product is sourced from Boundary Bend in Vic and shareholders in OO own 1.2M trees or 25% of current plantings. They are exporting to Asia, UK, Canada and are looking at the US as well as gearing up for a big push into the local supermarket chains. They see the growth in foreign markets due to the unique flavour of australian oil and the shift to a more healthy diet. This is an interesting example of how the commercial world is working. I have the ful transcript if anyone would like to view it. Roger Farquhar [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] </pre> </td></tr></table> |
