First Year Fruit

<pre>Hi All,
A major proportion of our 3 & 4 year old Frantoio & Corregiola Trees are full
of new fruit for the 1st time. The trees vary greatly in size from well under a
metre to over 2 metres. Am I being too optimistic in hoping that most of the
fruit will reach maturity or should I realistically expect a lot of it to fall
off or not grow to full size in this first real year of fruit set. How is
everyone else's crop looking like so far??
Regards

Dear Paul, I am not certain , given the different hemisphere, that this will be
useful. Anyhow I also had last October the first crop of 3 year old Leccino;
about 30 % of the trees, with height from 1,5 to 2,5 meters. Beautiful olives,
average weight more than 3 grams, not one did fall before maturity. Best wishes
for your next crop.Cheers Claudio Pellegrino, Calci, Tuscany, Italy
