have you considered the feasability of grafting onto the existing
roostock? There could be an advantage in a shorter turnaround time plus
not having to completely rework the ground to remove all roots. Grafting
is a legitimate procedure practiced among the traditional growers of the
mediterranean to clone trees with superior performance into groves.
There are practioners of the art in Australia.
