Please Help Me Figure This Out :)
<table border=0 cellpadding=2 cellspacing="0"><tr><td>
<pre>I am a soap maker. I used to get a wonderful soap making olive oil from Turkey, but my exporter retired and is no longer in business and I have no idea who his oil supplier was. The type of oil I had been getting was called "water extracted pomace". It was an opaque deep jade green color, very unlike the translucent and light green to yellow pomace which is intended for human consumption. It also had a distinct smell of olives and was a bit more viscous. This was the best olive oil I've ever used for making soap. But I cannot seem to find it anywhere. All of the folks I contact about pomace seem to only have that translucent (clear) yellowish green pomace that is used for cooking. Does anyone know if maybe what I had wasn't really pomace but another grade of olive oil? Or maybe was it "crude pomace" as opposed to refined and/or blended pomace? Was it possibly lampante? Any ideas? Please, help me figure this out! It is driving me crazy trying to find this oil again. My soaps haven't been the same without it ![]() Also, does anyone know who I can contact to try to get some more of this type of olive oil? Thanks so much ![]() *Smile* Chris [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] </pre> </td></tr></table> |

<pre>Christine, ozgur.akoglu@... His name is Ozgur.. He sent me samples of his oil and they are first rate according to the tasters in the US who are doing our samples. He is certainly an honorable fellow. And his oil is first rate. Pomace he must have, also.
