100% Aromatic Oils

Thought the group may be interested to see the latest in product developments in infused oils appearing on supermarket shelves in Australia. Apparently the products have been available in Australia since 2002 .... but now they are available in your neighbourhood supermarket (dare I mention the nationwide chain) .... I should have checked the expiry dates :-). I quote from the leaflet on the neck of the bottle: "Borges, in collaboration with Ferran Adria, one of the world's most innovative and "cutting-edge" chefs, present a new range of totally natural and original olive oil dressings (without artificial flavours, colours or preservatives) which can vary or intensify the flavour of your favourite dishes." For those of us who are not "au fait" with Ferran Adria, a starting point: http://www.time.com/time/innovators/...ile_adria.html Pricing reflects the superstar image of Ferran Adria..... premium pricing is a good description. Aaah.... where are you Neil Perry .... perhaps what the superstar Australian chef has done for Vittoria Coffee (http://www.vittoriacoffee.com/content.php/1141.html ) can be the inspiration for Australian olive oils .... particularly since he has released his new cook book! (http://www.smh.com.au/news/Good-Livi...1112489409330\ .html) Who needs Ferran Adria when we have our own superstars......? Cheers, Lambros Karavis.

|
