Pomace Oil ** IV
<table border=0 cellpadding=2 cellspacing="0"><tr><td>
<pre>Hi Peter, No, I don't press myself. I purchase from local Turkish producers and then pay to lab test it. The only things I produce are essential oils and hydrosols of rosemary, oregano, laurel, myrtle, lavender, fennel, sage, anise and a few others, and even then I contract the distillation of my aromatic plants. But to answer your other questions, it is pressed. And after pressing it is pressed again to obtain a small amount of a very low quality pomace (a second pomace) that is sold for around .90 US cents a kilo to local soap companies. The remaining residue is dried and then sold for use as fuel, fertilizer and stock feed filler. Regards, Butch > Do you do press the pomace oil yourself or purchase it? If you press > it, what do you do with the solid pressing residue? I'd be interested > in its uses (if any) in Turkey. Thanks.
