Odd cracks - Cu So4 sprays
<table border=0 cellpadding=2 cellspacing="0"><tr><td>
<pre>Edward, CuS04 is used to prevent fungine diseases in olives, as in roses. We spray it at least twice a year in a neutralized solution (with CaOH in the right composition), once after pruning in spring and once after flowering in summer, mainly to prevent the +ACI-peacock eye+ACI- (occhio di pavone)disease which attacks the leaves and ist caracterized by a circle-formed center on the leaf. The leaf will become yellow and fall. CuSO4 disinfects and prevents the propagation of the fungine disease (it reduces the growth of vegetal cells, as fungine spores and also sea weed) and makes sick leaves fall more rapidly. It also makes the leaves +ACI-harder+ACI- and more resistant. FeSO4 is used to disinfect the scissors for pruning if you have some sick plant. It is to strong to disinfect the leaves, but might do for the cracks. Anyway CuSO4 will suit, if you have it. It is accepted in natural agriculture, you can use it as often as you want. It is not toxic for olives, but be careful with other fruits . Please tell me the reasons for using Fe and Cu So4 sprays. We use the latter on roses against fungii etc. Edward </pre> </td></tr></table> |
