Soxhlet / oil content of olives

<pre>I would like to perform a soxhlet percentage oil determination. I would like to perform a % oil determination on different varieties of olives. Is it neccessary to prepare the olives in some way first? What solvent should I use ? Is there a standard method ? (I have used the method for % fat content in meat but nothing else.)
