Product Liability insurance
<table border=0 cellpadding=2 cellspacing="0"><tr><td>
<pre>I am trying to get product liability insurance for olive oil that I am selling in the UK from my grove in Italy. The insurers want to know what international/European Union/British standards we adhere to. We are in the process of becoming certified organic (so we have a friendly inspector whom visits), but other than that we don't have any analysis or outside quality control. We can obviously have our oil analysed to make sure that it is extra virgin but I can't see what this has to do with the safety of it (though I may be wrong). Can anyone offer me any advice? We are also making olive oil soap and I wonder if anyone has any experience of getting product liability insurance for that? Thanks in advance, Jason Gibb jason.gibb@nudo-italia.com [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] </pre> </td></tr></table> |

Re: Product Liability insurance

<pre>Jason Your commercial insurance agent should check with their underwriter for any requirements. Your general business liability insurance should cover you. This is not a legal advice. You should consult with your agent and legal council. </pre> </td></tr></table> |
