York Olive Festival 24 - 25 June 2006
The third annual York Olive Festival will be held over the weekend of 24 & 25 June 2006 to celebrate the release of the "olio novello", Western Australia's fresh new season extra virgin olive oil.
The festival has been held in York since 2004 and is the only event in Western Australia dedicated to olives, extra virgin olive oil and other olive products. The heart of the show is the Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition, the results of which will be announced at the awards dinner on the evening of Friday 23 June. This is the only regional competition in Western Australia and the first of the season for the whole of Australia. More details are available at www.yorkolivefestival.info
