We would like to inform the group that the festival planned to celebrate
the first pressing at TANJA OLIVES using there own press is to be held over
till next year's harvest. The decision was made because of a smaller harvest
than expected and a concern that we may lake some expertise in demonstrating
our new olive press to the interested public. Given the low yields coming
from local crops of Manzanillos [of which we have many] we may have appeared
to be incompetent operators.
Be assured that we plan to hold a major event next year at perhaps a more
appropriate time when we expect an even a greater harvest and when we are
'expert' olive press operators.
We will certainly keep you posted and apologise for any inconvenience
caused.
