Re: Olive Oil competition

<pre>Hi Mike I have handed your request on to the entry secretary and you should be getting the information shortly. I'm really glad that you are going to enter the olive oil show. I was thinking - what sort of an olive oil industry is there in South Africa. There have been attempts over the last 150 years to get one going in Australia and it seems as though this is finally happening. I organised the olive oil show as a means of educating both producers and the public about the finer qualities of olive oil. If the situation is similar in South Africa it would be interesting to hear about it. In the back of my mind is the idea that if the two countries are in a similar situation we could perhaps establish an international class in the olive oil show in which we specifically compare olive oils from the two regions. It seems to me that it could be a bit of fun and at the same time it would promote both our products. All the best Kent Hallett </pre> </td></tr></table> |
