regional statistics
<table border=0 cellpadding=2 cellspacing="0"><tr><td>
<pre>Dear Friends, Please welcome me as a new member of this list. I am mainly a historian of the pre-industrial Mediterranean and I have done some research on agriculture, including olive growing and trade in the late antiquity period, with a focus on western Greece and southern Italy. Also I live in an olive-producing region of western Greece. In this context I am interested in gathering some current production and trade statistics on a regional basis. I have already found many of the websites offering statistics on a nation-wide basis, while for Spain, for example, I found the ASOLIVA website which does have some useful numbers for the country's regions. Can anyone recommend websites with country production and trade statistics on a regional basis, perhaps other industry association sites analogous to that of ASOLIVA? I am particularly interested in the regions of Greece and southern Italy, but also those of some other Mediterranean countries. I already have the country-wide statistics files in PDF from the International Olive Oil Council which, though they have some information on regions of EU countries, they are otherwise of little use. Besides English, I can read Greek, Italian, Spanish, French and Portuguese (unfortunately no Arabic, Turkish, Albanian, or Serbo-Croatian). Thank you in advance for you kind assistance. Sincerely, Steve </pre> </td></tr></table> |

<pre>Dear Steve, Aegean Exporters' Association is the coordinator association for olive oil exportation in Turkey. Its website is both in English and Turkish. There you can find not only information about association but also the list of members, too. Just click the below link to enter web site. And very soon a new publication will be shared on the web which will give information about Turkish Olive Oil. I will send the details about it later. www.egebirlik.org.tr Best regards, Ekin --- Steve Balestra <stbx6266@...> wrote: > Dear Friends, > > Please welcome me as a new member of this list. > I am mainly a historian of the pre-industrial > Mediterranean > and I have done some research on agriculture, > including > olive growing and trade in the late antiquity > period, with > a focus on western Greece and southern Italy. <pre>--In my opinion http://oracle2.mapya.es/pls/aaoliva/inicio is the best wedsite with Spanish statistic. It removes monthly figures of production, export, import, stock. Novedades; Main dates per province 2002 03 Legislation. Best regarts.
