<pre>Olive Business 2001 Extra Virgin Olive Oil Awards

The Olive Business Awards in 2001 will be open to Australian and New
Zealand extra virgin olive oils. New classes recognise the market
demand for pungent and sweeter styles of olive oils, the uniqueness
of the first pressings of new season oils and the increasing
significance of organic olive oils. As in 2000, the entries will be
screened by the Australian Olive Association organoleptic panel and
undergo chemical tests to ensure they meet the IOOC standards for
extra virgin olive oils. They will the be judged by an independent
panel representative of the commercial olive marketplace.

Olive Business 2001 Table Olive Awards

The Olive Business 2001 Table Olive Awards are also open to Australia
and New Zealand. Entries are again invited for products from the
range of recognised table olive processing methods with the inclusion
of a new class for organically accredited table olives.

Closing date for all entries is 20 April 2001. Winners will be
announced at the presentation dinner during Olive Business Week in
Melbourne in May 2001.
