advertisement for an event:

Olive Oil and Cheese Tasting, Monday, March 12, 6:30-9pm. Los Angeles

669-1031. The seminar will give you
the opportunity to taste 6-7 high quality extra virgin olive oils. The
tasting will be carried out under the guidelines
of The Italian Olive Oil Center (my emphasis) and presented by Susan
O'Connell a certified olive oil
consultant. Cooking with extra virgin olive oil will be discussed and a
fine array of imported cheese and
bruschetta will be served following the tasting.

Is this for real? I always thought that the letters IOOC stood for the
term International Olive Oil Council. I bet that the IOOC (the real one)
would be most upset if their trademark name is being usurped in this way.

Anyone with ideas??
